Ecolab, a global sustainability leader offering water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services, has announced a joint event with the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business’ Center for Effective Organizations (CEO), to explore the impact of employee resource groups (ERGs) on business innovation and growth.
The 2023 Strategic ERG Leadership Summit is a two-day immersive experience for Human Resources and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) leaders to bridge the gap between research and practice for ERGs, diversity councils and ERG executive sponsors. The summit will take place August 3-4, 2023, in St. Paul, Minn. at the Omni Vikings Lake Hotel.
“We are excited to partner with the Center for Effective Organizations (CEO) because of their focus on data-driven learning,” said Dexter Davis, Vice President of Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Ecolab. “Our employee resource groups are vital to our culture at Ecolab. As our organization continues to advance the work with our ERGs and our overall business strategy, it’s important to bring cross-disciplinary teams and companies together to learn and grow. We look forward to hosting the summit and engaging with others on this important topic.”
With 40 years of experience, CEO helps companies build effective organizations through evidence-based research focused on organization design, DEI, leadership, future of work, and analytics. The summit brings together leaders from diverse industries to share ERG leadership skills, success stories, and discuss innovative ways to drive the future of ERGs, business, and community.
“The Strategic ERG Leadership Summit and programming through CEO focuses on the evolving nature of ERGs to help companies understand how they can elevate and innovate ERG work from tactical implementation to strategic alignment with business goals,” said Theresa M. Welbourne, Affiliated Senior Research Scientist at the Center for Effective Organizations (CEO), USC Marshall School of Business. “This is particularly important as our research shows ERGs can quickly mobilize their members to handle unique and difficult organizational challenges across an organization, globally.”
