The goal of the annual evaluations is to not only bring the latest information and guidance to our readers, but also encourage active outreach and diversity policies among corporations and government agencies. The lists were compiled from market research, independent research, diversity conference participation and survey responses that were performed by DiversityComm’s agents and/or affiliates. This year, more than 250 companies and institutions participated.
“Independent research has shown that companies who focus on supplier diversity generate a 133% greater return on procurement investments than their counterparts,” said Mona Lisa Faris, president and publisher of the Black EOE Journal. “The difference is a minority business enterprise’s ability to deliver equal value at a lower operating cost than their larger competitors.”
The results are published in the summer issue of Black EOE Journal, featuring Harry Belafonte as the cover story and available on newsstands on July 1, 2014. Published by DiversityComm, Black EOE Journal’s mission is to be the epicenter of information for African Americans seeking employment and business opportunities within corporate America. DiversityComm also publishes Hispanic Network Magazine, Professional Woman’s Magazine and U.S. Veterans Magazine.
