The US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation (USPAACC) is now accepting applications to its “Supplier Diversity Champions” (SD Champions) program that celebrates the “unsung heroes” of supplier diversity.
Launched in the beginning of this year, USPAACC’s latest initiative marks a purposeful shift away from awards and recognition solely based on a corporation’s ability to spend and moves toward a new emphasis that encourages transparency, innovation, inclusion, impact on the community, and integration in supplier diversity programs.
“Our SD Champions program shines a new light on the true champions of supplier diversity,” said Susan Au Allen, USPAACC National President & CEO. “This is a game-changer in that we’re moving beyond corporate spending and looking more holistically toward transparency, innovation, inclusion, impact on the community, and integration of supplier diversity initiatives in their entirety.”
Any U.S.-based corporation with at least 750 U.S.-based employees is qualified to apply for the program, opening the doors for equitable recognition of supplier diversity programs at varying levels of maturity.
According to Allen, USPAACC has already received positive response and enthusiastic support from corporations and national certification organizations, including USPAACC’s chamber partners Disability:IN, NaVOBA, NVBDC, US Black Chambers, and WBENC.
Winners will be recognized at USPAACC’s annual flagship CelebrASIAN Business + Procurement Conference 2023: BREAKTHROUGH – on June 6-8 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. CelebrAsian is the country’s largest and longest-running business development conference convened by Pan Asian Americans. For more details about the Supplier Diversity Champions program, visit uspaacc.com
