The 2024 WBENC National Conference in Denver, Colorado, was a transformative event celebrating and promoting women-owned businesses. Held at the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center, this premier conference offered a wealth of opportunities for networking, education and business growth aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs.
The conference kicked off on March 19th with the general session, focused on robust discussions surrounding ESG and Artificial Intelligence (AI), featuring leaders from prominent companies, including Accenture, Bristol Myers Squibb and EY, and conference WBE co-chairs ALOM and Ampcus. WBENC President Pamela Prince Eason and WBENC Board Chair and Global Supplier Inclusion & Sustainability Lead for Accenture Nedra Dickson opened the event with a powerful welcome that set an enthusiastic tone for the days to follow.
Attendees experienced a series of engaging activities, starting with the Regional Partner Organization (RPO) Meetups, which fostered vibrant new connections and rekindled old ones. Various evening events, including the Sneaker Jam and Sip & Swag, further enlivened the atmosphere, which promoted a dynamic networking environment.
The following day, the conference dove into a series of educational sessions across a multitude of industries. These sessions delivered cutting-edge insights and practical knowledge, equipping participants to excel in a rapidly evolving business landscape. Highlights of the day included the Collegiate Accelerator Pitch Competition, where emerging entrepreneurs presented innovative solutions, and the expansive WBENC Expo, which provided a broad spectrum of learning and connection opportunities.
Day three wrapped up with intense networking activities and the second part of the Collegiate Accelerator Pitch Competition. The conference concluded on a high note with a Colorado Ski Lodge-themed party, where attendees engaged in activities like snowball fights and explored the Women-Owned Pop-Up Shop, enjoying a festive atmosphere.
WBENC hosted a special brunch event to honor the 2024 Top Corporations and the 2024 WBE Stars in a delightful tribute to excellence.
